NEWS and INFORMATION:
All 2016-17 Honor Group Information will be posted by September 1, 2016. Please click the honor ensembles tab above to download the information.
DO NOT register any students for district band, orchestra, and choir auditions at this time. The online database will be cleared and updated to prepare for new data.
Registration will open on September 24, 2016 for most groups. WAIT until you receive the all-clear to enter new data for the 2016-17 school year. If you enter data before you have received the ALL-CLEAR, your data will be ERASED and not recorded. Wait for the “Registration Open” announcement.
REMINDER OF FEES FOR 2016-17:
HIGH SCHOOL HONOR GROUP INFORMATION – Band – Orchestra - Choir:
All students auditioning or participating in a high school honor group which includes the band, jazz band, orchestra, and choir will pay a fee of $10.00 per audition. If no audition is required, they will pay a $10.00 participation fee per student. Checks should be made payable to SLSMEA.
HIGH SCHOOL - SOLO AND ENSEMBLE FESTIVAL
Schools will pay this fee directly to MSHSAA. The fees are $12.00 per solo and $15.00 per ensemble. There will be no cancellation fee. Checks should be made payable to MSHSAA.
MIDDLE SCHOOL HONOR GROUP INFORMATION – Band – Orchestra - Choir:
All students auditioning or participating in a middle school honor group which includes the band, jazz band, orchestra, and choir will pay a fee of $10.00 per audition. If no audition is required, they will pay a $10.00 participation fee per student. Checks should be made payable to SLSMEA.
MIDDLE SCHOOL - SOLO AND ENSEMBLE FESTIVAL
Schools will pay $12.00 per entry. Schools will pay this fee directly to SLSMEA. There will be no cancellation fee. Checks should be made payable to SLSMEA.
LARGE GROUP FESTIVAL
HIGH SCHOOL - $75.00 per entry. Schools will pay this fee directly to MSHSAA. There will be no cancellation fee.
MIDDLE SCHOOL - EducationPlus will pay this fee. Cancellation fees will apply if necessary.
Elementary 5/6 Honor Choir
A $25.00 per school (not per singer) fee to help pay the expenses. Checks should be made payable to SLSMEA.
